Once you receive your order, you should open up the box and pair the device with your smartphone. Once paired, open your favorite player and start listening. Download and connect the ROAM EQ app to enhance your audio experience.
Double press the Bluetooth button on the EQ engine to enable pairing with your host device. After the quick double-press of the Bluetooth button, the blue indicator will be flashing rapidly. This indicates that your device is ready to be paired with your smartphone, tablet or computer. Follow the directions on how to pair Bluetooth devices from your host device.
Yes. When wearing your ROPES device, you will hear your smartphone’s ring and can answer a call by pressing the central control button on your lapel.
Yes, you can query Siri by pressing the central control button on the lapel for 3 seconds. Siri will open and you will be able to speak your query into the microphone.
All ROPES Wireless devices come preset from the factory with Sleep Mode enabled. After 5 minutes of no streaming audio, the device will enter a low power mode. This will help extend the life of the battery.
You can download the ROAM EQ app for iOS and Android. To keep your device up to date with the latest firmware, download our SYNC tool to your Windows or MAC computer. Visit roamwith.com/support and follow the instructions on how to download.
The ROAM Sync software runs on your personal computer and will check for updates and notify when updates are available on your device. Follow the on-screen instructions on updating your ROPES Wireless firmware.
The ROAM EQ app was designed around personalization. Tailor your audio experience and adjust up to five EQ bands, interface with the DSP, and create presets with the ROAM EQ app. You can also change the name of your device and change the background of your home screen.
ROAM EQ allows you to make DSP adjustments, including Dynamic Bass Enhancement which enhances the lower frequencies of the audio signal and Spectral Effect which enhances the spectral / spatial interpretation of the audio.
You can pair your ROPES device with any Bluetooth host device such as a mobile phone, tablet, PC or Mac. To pair with a PC or Mac, enable Bluetooth and follow the pairing process for your device. Don’t forget to double press the Bluetooth button on your ROPES Wireless EQ Engine to enable pairing mode. Your experience may vary from device to device. For IOS and Android devices, download the ROAM EQ app to personalize your audio experience.
Open the ROAM EQ app and click on the “Advanced” tab. Click on the current name to type in the new name for your ROPES. After renaming your ROPES, the unit will power off. You must go into your phone’s Bluetooth settings, click on the previous name of your ROPES and forget this device. Lastly, you must go through the initial pairing process to pair with the new name.
